Project members lead at major international conferences

Project members have played key roles in organising and chairing at several prestigious scientific events throughout 2025, showcasing their leadership and expertise across multiple research areas.

• Spin Caloritronics Workshop - University of Leeds (21-25 July 2025)
  This annual workshop explored the latest advancements in spin caloritronics.
  Joseph Barker chaired the organising committee.
  Christopher Marrows was an invited speaker, and several ECRs presented posters, highlighting their research contributions.
• 12th International Symposium on Metallic Multilayers (MML) Symposium - University of Leeds (13-18 July 2025)
  Returning to the UK for the first time in 30 years, the 12th MML Symposium brought together leading scientists to share breakthroughs in metallic, magnetic, and superconducting heterostructures, with a focus on novel interfacial phenomena and their applications.
  Christopher Marrows served as Conference Chair, and Thomas Moore organised social events and awards.
  The event was well represented by ECRs, who delivered presentations and engaged in discussions.
• 2025 IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics - Graz (13-18 July 2025)
  Andrew Bell chaired the ISAF/ISIF Energy Harvesting Session, contributing to discussions on cutting-edge ferroelectric applications.
• Materials Research Society Spring Meeting - Seattle (7-11 April 2025)
  Marty Gregg served as chair for the session "Probing Ferroic Topologies I" and also delivered an invited talk titled "Twisted Charged Interfaces in Ferroelectrics".
  This meeting aims to bring researchers from diverse fields to share breakthroughs, foster collaboration, and showcase innovations in materials science.
