CAMIE research showcased at Pint of Science 2026
Early career researcher Servet Ozdemir took part in the 2026 Pint of Science festival, an initiative that brings research into local venues to engage wider audiences.
At the Leeds event on 19 May 2026, Servet delivered a talk titled "Handedness in stealth magnets: the secret to computers that do not heat up". The presentation introduced concepts from non‑collinear antiferromagnets and highlighted their potential for enabling energy‑efficient computing technologies.
Delivered in an informal setting, the talk showcased the real‑world relevance of fundamental research and provided an opportunity to connect with the public. Events such as Pint of Science play an important role in promoting engagement and curiosity beyond academia.
Well done to Servet for contributing to this important outreach initiative.
